This is my twelfth year as an educator with the Tangipahoa Parish School System, and my second year at Ponchatoula Junior High School. For me, teaching is not just a profession it is also my passion. I love building meaningful relationships with the students I teach and learning new and intuitive ways to reach all learners. In addition to being an educator, I am also an artist and aspiring adventurer! I find peace in creating beautiful things and exploring new places!

I believe parental involvement has a direct impact on student success in and out of the classroom. Communication between teachers, parents, and students is imperative. Therefore, all updates (including a weekly ELA Agenda) will be sent through the Remind App and email, linked in Oncourse, in addition to being posted on my school website. All assignments will be posted through Oncourse Classroom and will include links to digital resources such as lesson slides, digital guidebook materials, and full text documents. Additional resources will be utilized to bridge gap skills, reinforce foundations, and offer challenges as needed.

The best way to contact me is through the Remind App (@pjhs-will). Please take the time to download this communication service, as it provides immediate and direct access to me during the day. I can also be contacted via email. However, I only check email three times once the school day begins, so please do not send time sensitive information via email. Lastly, you can also call the school and leave a message.

I am extremely excited about working with your child this year.  As a seventh-grade teacher it is my desire to provide the necessary tools for my students to be successful academically, as well as kind, contentious, and productive young citizens of the world!
