A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...
My name is Matt Greer or "Coach Greer", as the students call me. This will be my 5th year as HHMS' JAG Specialist. I'm also an Assistant Coach with the football team and girls softball. I was born in Boston in 1970, and moved to Hammond in 1974. I am the eldest son of ex-Tangi educators, Bob Greer (HHS '58) and Monica Greer. My brothers are Luke (HHS '95) and Jon (HHS '97). I am a graduate of Ponchatoula High & Southeastern Louisiana University. Achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, I was Honoraby Discharged from theU.S. Air Force in '95, after 6yrs of service. I have 3 children...Karleigh, Madison, and Braden.
A FEW WORDS FROM ME
"I absolutely love being a JAG Career Specialist. I'm in a position where I can make a significant, positive impact on every student that walks through my door. I am a Teacher, Coach, Mentor, Counselor, Big Brother, & Father Figure. But, I'm also a student....a student of life. At 50yrs old, I seem to learn something new almost every day, and, sometimes, I learn from the students themselves. I look forward to meeting my new students, reconnecting with my returning students, and taking on the challenges of 2020-21...together."
