Welcome to HHMS and to our virtual classroom! My name is Mrs. Danielle Oller and I will be your U.S. History teacher. 

As we enter into this brand new adventure of virtual learning, I know that we all have lots of questions.  Here is a brief overview that should help answer a few of them.   Important links specific to our US History class can be found on the left-hand side of this page, as well as on www.tangischools.org/HHMS.

The Big Day is almost Here!!!!   If your last name begins with A-K, you will arrive on campus only a FEW HOURS from now  .... YIPPEEE!!!  
If your last name begins with L-Z, you have to contain your excitement for only 1 more day. 

I will make this message quick and to the point because IT'S PROBABLY PAST YOUR BEDTIME!

Here are a few IMPORTANT REMINDERS before you arrive on Campus: 

DO THIS TONIGHT:
(1) GRAB A NOTEBOOK & INK PEN!  

 

Throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are prohibited from sharing supplies with one another.   
You will need (1) Notebook and (1) Pen each time that you come to class.  
Be sure to write your first and last name on the FRONT COVER before you come to school.

2) CHECK ONCOURSE CONNECT for your B-DAY SCHEDULE & BUS NUMBER!
Tomorrow is a B-day and you must know where and when your classes will be. 
*Unlike last year, printed schedules WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED.

WRITE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR NOTEBOOK'S FRONT COVER:

(3) CHROMEBOOK:  POWER  IT OFF  &  PLUG IT IN!
Our devices are designed to install updates and sync data throughout the PM hours and while we are asleep.  This prevents interruptions while you are working hard on assignments during the day.  
You will need a FULL BATTERY (100%)  TOMORROW and each time that you are on Campus.

Classrooms are NOT equipped with outlets or charging stations for student use.  It is your responsibility to take care of this BEFORE leaving home!   


*DO THIS TOMORROW MORNING: 
 
(1) Wake up early:  Eat a solid breakfast  (Oatmeal, Eggs & Toast, etc.) then Brush your Teeth :)
(2) Put on your School Uniform  
    *Shirt: Navy, White, or Purple
    *Pants: Khaki
    *Face mask:  Solid color WITHOUT words or designs
(3)  Place your CHROMEBOOK, NOTEBOOK, and PEN inside a zipped backpack.  
   DO NOT CARRY THEM BARE-HANDED!


HHMS REMINDERS:
CELL PHONE USE IS NOT ALLOWED ON CAMPUS from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  -Not Inside     -Not Outside       -Not in Restroom    -Not in Cafeteria
If you chose to bring your phone on HHMS Campus, it MUST BE powered off and stored completely out of sight (Zipped Backpack) --- Not in your pocket!

PARENT DROP-OFF WILL BEGIN @ 7:10 am.   *Not 7:00 as it was last year!
-Students must remain inside his/her parent's car until a Teacher on Duty approaches your vehicle and takes your Temperature.   
If below 100.4, you will be instructed to enter the building. 
I can hardly wait to meet each and every one of you!

Students MUST USE his/her TPSS login to message teachers through OCC or with assigned email account.  Personal email addresses will not be received.

OnCourseConnect:  

Students MUST login to OnCourse Classroom (OCC) to access and submit all lessons, assignments, and assessments. 

 

Please understand that I will not issue 'busy work' therefore all assignments will be graded. Lessons and instruction will be deliberate as it will serve a purpose in educating each of my students.
