Meet the teacher:
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Rachel Gonzales and I am the fourth-grade math teacher at Chesbrough Elementary School. I am certified in elementary and middle school math education and hold a Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Chesbrough has been home to all three of my children and I am blessed with the opportunity to make a difference in my community. It is my joy and my calling to teach! COVID-19:
During this difficult time, your child's health and safety are our number one priority. Should your child become ill or exposed, please contact me through my email address or Class Dojo. Assignments are posted in OnCourse daily for students who are working from home. I will do my very best to continue educating my students throughout this pandemic to ensure learning does not stop.
Eureka Math:
We are using the Eureka Math curriculum which is a Tier 1, fully-aligned, standards-based curriculum designed to make students successful mathematical thinkers. There are several on-line resources to help! The best website is the main source. Click HERE

Every day students should:

- Review the lesson for the day
- Complete assigned homework
- Blended students should login to OnCourse to complete daily assignments.

Zearn is a program that allows students to work on math skills at their own pace. The math content is completely aligned to our standards and the platform is very user-friendly. Student logins are the same as their regular computer login.

Prodigy is a fun interactive community-style math game that has been proven to improve student scores and confidence. It is aligned to the standards and includes practice problems for state testing. Students should be completing math problems as they battle wizards and not spending most of their time building their village. To join my prodigy math class, use code: AD5F28B
- Kahn Academy is an educational website that incorporates video lessons, practice problems, and quizzes in a fun user-friendly format. Students are able to search for specific skills they would like to improve and work towards mastering that skill. You can find 4th-grade math content on Kahn Academy.
