A 93-100     You understand and you ask questions for clarity.

B 85-92       You mostly understand and you ask questions  sometimes.

C 75-84       You understand some and you may need to ask more questions.

D 65-74       You do not understand and you need to ask for help.

F                  Unacceptable...you are NOT putting forth any effort.

8th grade policy:

The semester report card will be a cumulative grade of the entire semester's work based on points earned divided by points possible. Students in the 8th grade will not receive partial credit nor 1/2 credit courses ( unless denoted as a high school course with JH ). The student must pass the course with a letter grade of D (at least 67%) or  higher and earn second semester average of D or higher to pass the entire course. If the student receives an F at the end of the second semester, he/she has failed that class for the entire year.
