Development and Assessment

This course will be reinforced and therefore enhanced through real learning experiences, and IF POSSIBLE, there will be scheduled LIFE VIDEO CONFERENCES with the “Victor Frankl School”, junior high school based in Queretaro, Mexico.

These videoconferences will be held in groups or in a one-on-one basis, with Multi-Media Spanish-English conversations, supervised at all times and mediated by teachers and staff personnel from both schools.

The purpose of these interviews is to present our students with same grade peers from a Spanish speaking country, so they can explore, inquire and learn the real world of the Spanish culture and their actual reality.

Our Students will be able to learn how kids from other countries are learning English, their way of life and how they are in reality; but, most of all, students will realize how amazing our cultures are merging and evolving in our non-stopping changing globalized world.

Additionally, besides the communication with the Victor Frankl School, the students will have video conferences with Museums and Cultural Entities in Mexico, with the purpose of increasing their knowledge and information about other cultures and places.

All these practices and exercises will be regulated and closely supervised by teachers and will follow all the necessary security standards and procedures required by the school system.

In Class Overall

We are looking forward to a School Year complemented by Spanish. It is my sincere intention that by the end of this course, our students had increased their knowledge of their own culture, their own language and of course, other cultures. That they speak basic level of Spanish… or at least, if I may say, in a very globalized and colloquial way, at least our kids will be able to speak "Spanglish", which is, in itself, a great accomplishment!
