Academic Integrity: Plagiarism is unacceptable. Any student found plagiarizing a submitted assignment will receive a zero on the assignments and be recommended for review by the IB Coordinator. To ensure academic integrity, students will submit all written assessments to turnitin.com (a plagiarism detection service).
Academic Integrity: According to the IB, “Academic integrity is a guiding principle in education and a choice to act in a responsible way whereby others can have trust in us as individuals. It is the foundation for ethical decision-making and behavior in the production of legitimate, authentic and honest scholarly work.” (International Baccalaureate, 2019). Students must aim to be honest and have integrity in the completion of their academic work at HHMS. To this end, students must produce “authentic and genuine individual and group work...acknowledging the work and ideas of others” (International Baccalaureate, 2019). The following are definitions and examples of academic malpractice as defined by IB:

Grade Discrepancies: Students can email the teacher or set up an appointment outside of class time to discuss any grade discrepancies. Grades will not be discussed during class time.
Late Work: No late work will be accepted, unless the student has an excused absence. If an absence is excused, parish policy will be followed.
